ELLY laurel ( prunus laurocerasus Elly ) 5 star ☆☆☆☆☆

Introducing Elly.  Elly is by far one of the very best varieties of laurel. It has a slender upright growing habit , therefore being alot less maintainance going forward.

Elly grows up to 4 meters in height and only 80 cm in width. It is frost hardy to -25.  It is a very hardy variety.  Elly is proving very popular  wth our customers and getting great reviews. Some keep it as low as 4ft and some leave it grow as a tall privacy screen that takes up very little space in the garden.

We recommend planting Elly 18 to  20 inches apart.

Like all plants it will only grow as good as the soil it is planted in, so plant it in a trench of good rich topsoil with a depth 2ft . 

It is advisable to place a soaker hose under the hedge and water it during any dry spell until established.

Care
Water deeply and regularly during the first growing season. A soaker hose is ideal for delivering slow, even moisture directly to the roots. Add mulch around the plants to help retain moisture and reduce weeds. Prune in late spring or summer to maintain the desired height and shape.
